Our experience in manufacturing structural adhesives dates back even further. Our materials expertise means that no other company can match Hexcel’s experience in making composites that withstand impact. And - in the case of crash test barriers - in making things that don’t.

Hexcel’s dedicated development and engineering team is fully experienced in the design of crash test barriers which surpass the stringent requirements of the European and US standards.
 
Hexcel’s crash test barriers are designed to optimize the crush properties of the Aluminum honeycomb. Barriers are designed using a range of honeycomb densities with crush strengths ranging from 0.15 to 42 MPa. Any crush test barrier configuration can be optimized using Hexcel’s in-house manufactured materials. Hexcel’s designers will work to an existing design, or produce an innovative crash test barrier to meet specific requirements.
