Hexcel was one of the first companies to manufacture advanced materials for the space and satellite industry. Most of the space applications which evolved during the 1970's and 1980's specified the use of the company's 934 epoxy resin sytem. Today Hexcel offers a range of epoxy systems developed specifically for space applications, in close collaboration with our customer partners.
 
New Technology is being introduced for each new satellite system. When cyanate ester systems attracted the attention of space hardware builders in the 1990's, Hexcel was a leader in the optimisation of cyanate resin-based prepreg systems, offering improved performance in the space environment.
 
Hexcel's space products offer clear advantages to the space hardware manufacturer who requires superior products, extensive testing and data generation, and superior support services.
