Hexcel is exhibiting for the first time at the Aero India show in Bangalore, from 11th to 15th February (Hall E, Stand 14).

Hexcel has supplied prepregs, fabrics, resins, honeycombs and adhesives to the Indian aerospace industry for many years to a broad base of customers including Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL), National Aerospace Lab (NAL), Indian Space Research Organisation and Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre.  Customers have kindly agreed to loan composite parts made with their materials to display on the Hexcel stand at Aero India.

At Aero India Hexcel will promote the latest developments for the aerospace industry including products for civil aircraft, helicopters and satellites.  Hexcel is a major supplier of prepreg, honeycomb and film adhesive to new Indian helicopter programmes include the Dhruv, Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) and Light Combat Helicopter (LCH).  Composite parts manufactured by HAL for the ALH programme and made with Hexcel’s composite materials will be on show, including a Torque Plate Assembly, Pendulum, Bo Assembly and Access panel Assembly.  Also on display will be wing panels made by the National Aerospace Lab (NAL) for the SARAS light transport Aircraft and a Landing Gear Door for the Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) made using HexPly® 914 carbon fibre/epoxy prepreg.

Gerard Chekherdemian, Hexcel’s Regional Sales Manager with responsibility for India as well as Russia and the Asia Pacific/Middle East region, explained:
