Dublin, Calif., USA — July 29, 2008 — Hexcel Corporation (NYSE: HXL) today announced it will impose a 12 percent energy surcharge on all new orders received by Americas customers in Q3 of 2008.  The decision was made in response to current economic conditions spurred by rising fuel costs, which have significantly increased the costs of raw material, utilities and transportation.
