Hexcel Corporation is pleased to announce that Tom Haulik has joined the company as Carbon Fiber Sales Manager, reporting to Mike Canario VP, Americas Sales and Marketing.

Tom has 28 years experience in business development for carbon fiber products, most recently as Sales Manager for Sigmatex High Technology Fabrics.  Prior to that, Tom held a variety of Sales & Marketing positions including Sales Director for Cytec Carbon Fibers and its predecessor Amoco.  Tom received his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Pennsylvania State University.

In his new role, Tom will be responsible for Hexcel’s carbon fiber business development activities, managing key customer accounts and leading efforts to enhance the status of HexTow® carbon fiber as a premium product in the market.  Tom is based in South Carolina.
 
Hexcel specialises in high strength and intermediate modulus carbon fibers, widely qualified for aerospace and defense programs.  Hexcel’s PAN precursor is manufactured at a dedicated facility in Decatur Alabama and the PAN is converted into carbon fiber at Hexcel plants in Salt Lake City, Utah and Illescas, Spain.  Hexcel will be adding new products to its extensive IM carbon fibers range during 2010.
