Fibrelam® aerospace panels have been in service with leading airlines for over 30 years as aircraft flooring and interior fixtures.  They are manufactured from HexWeb® honeycomb that is bonded between metallic or composite facing skins. Hexcel has developed new HexPly® skin materials with superior fire performance which in combination with the latest low weight, high performance HexWeb® honeycombs provide the ultimate high performance panel for the civil aircraft of the future.  Fibrelam® 2200 ultra light aircraft floor panel is the newest in the product range, combining Hexcel's fiber, resin and core technology expertise.  The Fibrelam® 2200 panel has a 20% weight savings over traditional lightweight aircraft flooring panels, with increased strength and durability. 

Honeycomb sandwich structures can be fabricated using the efficient "Cut, Fold, Bond" technique, whereby a section of skin is removed from one surface, adhesive is applied to the exposed core, the component is folded and secured while the bond  takes place.  Redux® pastes are ideal for this procedure.
