About this Location
Hexcel Fibers SL is located in Illescas, mid-way between the cities of Toledo and Madrid and is Hexcel’s first carbon fiber manufacturing plant in Europe. The plant was opened in 2008 and has a total surface area of 45 000 m². Carbon fibre is the vital ingredient in the highest performing composite materials. The high strength created by the production process means that HexTow® carbon fibres offer a superior alternative to metal for a broad range of new structural parts.
A number of industries already benefit from advanced carbon fibre composites including space, defence, commercial aircraft, sports goods, motorsports and industrial.
