Hexcel's Parla plant is located 25 kilometres south of central Madrid.  Formerly part of the Hercules Corporation, the site was acquired by Hexcel in 1996.  The plant's construction began in 1987, with the first batch of material manufactured  in 1989.  The site consists of an office building and a manufacturing plant with a total surface area of 15,000 m2.

The Parla site manufactures carbon fiber prepregs, sold mainly to the aerospace industry - particulary to Airbus programs.  Other markets served include the automotive industry, recreation and wind energy.

The site has a workforce of about 120 people, 15% of them in Quality Assurance.  Other functions are operations, finance and administration.
