Pottsville is located in Schuylkill county, Eastern Pennsylvania and is located within a two hour drive from New York City and Philadelphia and within two and a half hours of Baltimore and Washington, D.C.  Today Pottsville is a significant center for business, government and finance and showcases its Industrial Revolution history and anthracite heritage which is so unique to the area.  The largest employment sector is manufacturing.

Hexcel's Pottsville site is a Engineered Core plant and is a world leader in the NC 5-axis profiling of honeycomb products, offering customer ready-to-bond core assemblies.  Established in 1980, Pottsville's growth has largely been the result of its helicopter blades business.
