Welkenraedt, Belgium, is located in the "Pays de Herve", part of the Liege province, situated between the Meuse and the Vesdre rivers and bordered in the north and east by the Netherlands and Germany.  It is an area rich in history dating back to Roman times, comprising of green and fertile countryside and a thriving economic centre due to its location at the crossroads of Europe.

Hexcel's Welkenraedt site is the company's European centre of excellence for Engineered Core, the name we give to our processed honeycomb parts that are machined and finished in any number of ways, and then supplied as ready to fit "drop-in" parts to customers.

Approximately 250 employees are based at Hexcel's Welkenraedt site, occupied in a range of functions from Procurement to Production and Quality Assurance.
