Burlington, Washington Burlington is located in Skagit County, in the northwest corner of Washington State, USA, between Seattle, WA and Vancouver, BC. The majestic Cascade Mountains stand to the east, overlooking a fertile valley boasting a variety of agricultural crops. Running through the valley is the powerful Skagit River, flowing westwards towards the beautiful San Juan Islands. World famous for its tulip fields, Skagit County is home to many cultural centers and enjoys a booming economy, comprizing agriculture, fishing, wood products, tourism, international trade and specialized manufacturing.

Hexcel's plant at Burlington was established in 1990 and is a 90,000 square foot facility, split into two buildings.

 

Hexcel's Burlington plant manufactures Engineered Core components from metallic and non-metallic honeycomb. Customers are offered a broad range of capabilities in HexWeb® honeycomb processing.  These include:  5-axis NC Machining, sawing, slotting, chamfering, simple and complex core forming, splicing, stabilizing, potting, bonding and curing.

 

Key applications for products made at Hexcel's Burlington plant are commercial and defense aircraft, helicopters and aero-engines - as well as industrial parts.  In recent years there has been new growth and work opportunities for complex machined honeycomb parts for new generation aircraft.
