HexForce® Multiaxials for Aerospace

Multiaxial Reinforcements, also known as Non-Crimp Fabrics (NCF) are layers of unidirectional fibers (usually glass or carbon) that are assembled and stitched together. They provide strength and stiffness in multiple directions depending on the controlled orientation of the fibers. The weight distribution in the fabric is optimized and it is possible to mix fiber types.

The Non-crimp concept allows:

In-plane mechanical properties to be enhanced, such as tension and flexion

Complex lay-up results in less waste and lay-up time reduced by using thicker materials

Cost effective technology means lower processing and high tow count fibers can be used
