HexForce® Woven Reinforcements

Woven reinforcements are the result of at least two threads which are interlaced at 0° (the warp) and 90° (the weft), with the weave style varied according to the performance. Reinforcements are available in a wide range of weights from 20 to 1000g/m2 (0.58 to 29.50 oz/yd2). There are three main weave styles - plain, twill and satin weave – selected style depends on several criteria including the required mechanical properties, the visual effect, drapeability and resin impregnation.

Woven reinforcements provide strength and stiffness in two directions, resulting in excellent handling characteristics and good drape. It is also possible to mix fibers to provide hybrid fabrics.
