BIAX AND TRIAX REINFORCEMENTS
Hexcel produces a range of biaxial and triaxial reinforcements in glass and carbon fiber that are ideally suited for wind blade manufacturing. See the list of recommended Biax and Trix products bottom right and click to access data sheets.

PEEL PLY
Hexcel also supplies peel ply fabrics in the form of finely woven lightweight polyamide. These are applied to the composite surface prior to curing the laminate and removed after cure. HexForce® T470 is commonly used in the wind energy market due to the product purity and the mechanical properties. The heat-sealed edges of HexForce® T470 mean that no fibers are left behind in the laminate. HexForce® T470 also provides better tear resistance and lower water uptake.
