Hexcel’s experience in wind energy began back in 1986 when customers started looking for innovative ways to make turbine blades lighter, while maximising their strength, stiffness and durability.

1995 Manufacture of first shell with HexPly® multiaxial prepreg
1999 HexPly® M9.6 resin system introduced

2007 Launch of Polyspeed® grid laminates
