Sikorsky Honors Hexcel Kent and Salt Lake City for Supplier Excellence
STAMFORD, Connecticut, April 6, 2018 – Sikorsky, a Lockheed Martin company, honored Hexcel Kent and Hexcel Salt Lake City with the coveted “Rotary Mission Systems Elite” award on March 15 at Sikorsky’s Elite Suppliers Town Hall event.
The award demonstrates perfect or best-in-class quality and delivery performance combined with an excellent customer-focused approach when dealing with Sikorsky requirements. This award for performance in 2017 was presented to only 19 suppliers, representing less than one percent of thousands of Sikorsky suppliers. Hexcel was selected for this award by cross-functional leadership at Sikorsky.
Hexcel supplies carbon fiber, matrix, core and dynamic components including main rotorcraft blades, blade spars, skins, skins–to-cores, tip caps, tip skins, cuff spacers and flex beams for Sikorsky rotorcraft platforms.
